We Shall Overcome

We Shall Overcome

These are my daily Mantras , “Pain is the touchstone of progress” ,”Fear no evil”,”This, too, shall pass” ,”This experience can be turned to benefit.” By doing such  we can overcome setbacks and recover.

Life is not a bad of roses. We rise , we fall. Setbacks, mishaps , mistakes ,failures help us grow and evolve. Instead of complaining our situations , if we gratefully accept certain things we evolve and mature naturally. Sometimes we have to forgive ourselves and others. We have to work on ourselves before pointing fingers at others. There is a spiritual axiom , “ Whenever I felt distured, there is something in me is wrong or I don’t accept people , places and things as they are. Acceptance is the crux of the issue.

Acceptance or surrendering is the highest sadhana of our life. Surrendering is escapism. It is being aware of the situation and restoring oneself to God’s will. That is the proper use of our will. “ Thy will , not mine , be done. When we are troubled by circumstances in our lives, a change is called for, a change that we must initiate. When we reflect on our recent as well as distant past, we will remember that the changes we most dreaded again and again have positively influenced our lives in untold ways.

When life seems to be going in a direction you don’t want, take a moment and recognize all the wonderful gifts in your life. This really helps you change your perspective and appreciate things once again. Gratitude changes the way. I find peace in gratefulness because when i see a fellow traveller has nothing and he is happy , I get inspired. Love , serve , give are the highest maxims what Swami Sivanananda of Divine Life Society advised the humanity to long for.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down
in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. ~ Psalms 23
